My name is Bruce Wigley and welcome to menorca:mosaic.

A little history....

Having been involved in various art-projects in Holland since 1999 principally designing black-light works and clothing for display at various parties and social events in the Nederlands, Germany and Portugal  (photos of these can be found on the above link).

After visiting Barcelona in 2004 and seeing the amazing work of Gaudi, I was inspired to start making mosaic and produced my first mosaic in Menorca later that year.  Since then I have made many more on this beautiful Spanish island known as the jewel of Catalunya.

Mosaic seems to come naturally on Menorca with it's wide use of ceramics, it's landscapes dotted with pre-historic sites and especially it's flora and fauna.  I have and can use recycled ceramics, stones, shells, crystals, drift-glass, mirror glass and any other suitable material that is available.

My aim is to improve and learn with every mosaic project undertaken, using the knowledge gained from various past projects which include: garden construction, swimming-pool decoration, company logos, house names, football badges, kitchen and bathroom panels, fire-places, arches, many types of animals inc. geckos, butterflies, owls, dolphins, sea-horses etc., impressionist landscapes, mandalas and many other symbols.

I would be happy to consider any image or idea for a mosaic.

The photos will be updated regularly with my latest completed projects. If you are interested in my work and would like more information please feel free to contact me.

Thank you for visiting!
